My first encounter with yoga was at the age of 18 through the book by B K S Iyengar "Light on yoga". In 2009 I started practicing Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga styles and have been practicing continuously ever since. In 2011 I finished Gaia yoga Teacher trainig (TT 200) school in Zagreb and started to teach. I continued my education (TT 500) at Divya yoga school under the supervision of Petra Carmichael. During these years I had the opportunity to meet many wonderful world known teachers, such as: David Swenson, Richard Freeman, Kino MacGregor, Marc i Joanne Darby, Govinda Kai, Manju Jois, Harmony Litchi, Eddie Stern, Petri Raisanen...
Since I was 20 years old I have attended many ten-day Vipassana meditation retreats that take place in nobile silence. Some of them were led by Buddhist monk Bhante Sujiva, and some were in the S.N. Goenka Vipassana Centers. Lately I have been attending numerous retreats led by Mislav Brečić. I finnished the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana, Design department and I actively Design and Illustrate. www.instagram.com/tenayoga

After practicing martial arts for over a decade and studying traditional Thai massage, my strong interest in further exploration of human body and biomechanics brought me to yoga in 2010. My style of choice is traditional Ashtanga Yoga which I find quite unique. I practiced with and learned from various respected teachers among which are Sharath Jois, David Swenson, Eddie Stern and David Robson.

After trying almost every fitness and wellness program there is, my first yoga class made me fall in love with this beautiful practice and devote my time solely to yoga. Its transformational and healing power is its greatest gift to all of us. Whether you do vinyasa, ashtanga, dharma or any other style the key is finding your own way and making it work for you.

I was born and raised in Dubrovnik, and moved to Zagreb to study. After graduating from university, Zagreb remained my home. I believe everything happens for a reason, and as destiny would have it, I walked into Divya yoga centre for a Dharma yoga class with Sandra Petra Pintarić. I was instantly captivated by the positive energy and enthusiasm during classes and yoga soon became, not only my daily practice, but also an initiator of many positive life changes. Daily yoga practice made me realise - I want this to be my lifelong journey. Constantly learning and digging into yoga teachings inspired me to start teacher training RYT200 in Divya yoga school in 2015 with Sandra Petra Pintarić and Petra Carmichael as my teachers. In 2016 I've continued advanced teacher training RYT500 with Sandra Petra Pintarić. While traveling I take the opportunity to visit local yoga studios, as well as I like to practise with teachers from across the world visiting Zagreb. I had the honour to practice with acclaimed teacher Sri Dharma Mittra in London, and in Divya I have attended many workshops and lectures by: Andres Acosta, Shir Shemesh, Harmony Litchy (Slater), Mitchell Gold, Kirsten Berg, Kristijan Kolega (Kakudmi das). I draw my inspiration from the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda as he reconciles east and west, yoga and christianity, and dissolves prejudices about yoga in our society.

As we all know things come to us when we are ready. When I started practicing yoga at the age of 34 I realised yoga was my calling and it made me happy and fulfilled. In 2015 I enrolled in RYT 200 teacher training led by my teachers Sandra Petra Pintarić (Dharma yoga) and Petra Carmichael(Ashtanga yoga) and in 2016 I continued with RYT 500 programme led by Petra Carmichael. In 2017 I finished Yin yoga teacher training Module 1 under the guidance of Sebastian Pucelle and Maurielle Burelier. I try to use my meditation practice in everyday situations because it teaches us how to stay at present moment and reminds us of our true nature.

"How can one prevent a drop of water from ever drying up? By throwing it into the sea." Buddha
I've been looking into various deep healing techniques for last 10 years or so. Somewhere along the road, yoga appeared in my life and I was instantly caught into it. Started practising various forms of yoga asana practices (Purna Yoga, Hatha for beginners, Vinyasa Flow), while in parallel learning basics of breathing and pranayama.
Then in 2014, started to practise Ashtanga Vinyasa Mysore under the guidance of my primary teacher Petra Carmichael, who made my practise much more dense and dedicated, so I've been doing ever since. Afterwards, I've attended workshops of different distinguished international and Croatian teachers as well as going on morning Mysore classes led by Tena Rebernjak in Divya Yoga Center and, in addition to that, periodically on Mysore classes led by Tom Richter and Sandra D. Bianco in GaiaYoga Zagreb.
In addition to Ashtanga Vinyasa, integral part of my study of Yoga is Jnana Yoga of Self-Enquiry and Karma Yoga, as well as other traditions like Buddhism and Taoism.

My first encounter with yoga was in 2010 when I joined my friend at a small studio in Zagreb. At first I thought yoga was going to allow me to tie my shoes if I live up to an old age, but it turned out it had much more to offer. The curiosity continues to this day and it drives me to develop both as a practitioner and a teacher.
