Sandra Petra Pintaric
"Better indeed is knowledge than mechanical practice. Better than knowledge is meditation. But better still is surrender of attachment to results, because there follows immediate peace." Bhagavad Gita
Sandra is devoted to yoga, and has been practicing since 2001. She began teaching in 2006 and has gained her knowledge of yoga from most eminent world spiritual and yoga teachers throughout the last 17 years (Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Sacinandana swami, Sri Dharma Mittra).
She explored the esoteric, astrology, spirituality, new age and ancient knowledge and symbolism of the different sources. Since 1994 this symbolism and knowledge translated into artistic creations as a hobby. Since childhood she trained in shooting (gun) and was successful in many competitions, trained for Croatia's national team and gained great sports discipline and concentration. Shooting was her great love in discipline that has much to do with yoga which she stopped practicing in 2005. Since 2001, Sandra resigned from her position in media and publishing where she worked for ten years to further peruse her path in yoga. She decided to leave the material world in which she worked very successfully, how she would live through spiritual world, yoga and art. Change was not easy, but through time she realized that she had made the best decision in her life that changed her in every way. In 2002 she found yoga through the Art of Living association and for the ten years has been influenced by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. It gave her a deep practice of asana, pranayama, kriyas, meditation and karma yoga. After a physical injury in 2005, she learned how much yoga helped her both physically and spiritually. Asanas helped her heal and she is becoming more interested in the healing practice of asanas and exploring that yoga world. Soon she meets Ashtanga and Power Vinyasa yoga which she practiced for 5 years (2006-2011). She finished her first Teacher Training RYT 200 at Nava yoga studio, an American school for Power Vinyasa Yoga where he first saw the world-famous poster of Sri Dharma Mittra. She visited many workshops with world known teachers in Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Power, Iyengar, Jivamukti Yoga Heart and Kundalini in Europe. 2009 she opened one of the most prominent yoga studios and yoga schools in Croatia Divya Yoga Center & School alongside co-owner Petra Carmichael (Ashtanga Vinyasa) where she teaches yoga intensely. She meets her husband Kakudmi das (vedic and self-healing teacher, musician), Sacinandana Swami and Dhanurdhara Swami, she becomes acquainted with the world of devotion and deeper knowledge of the Vedas. She has studied professional training for Interior Design and Vastu (Vedic architecture and yoga of design). |
After researching where she could go to further yoga Teacher Training that lasted a few years ago, she decided to go to a teacher she did not know but was most attracted to all because she only mentioned the deeper yoga theme, devotion and radiates it with special vibration. He is one of the greatest living yoga masters in the world Sri Dharma Mittra. She did not know anything about the yoga he taught but his biography was crucial, impressive images, practice, experience, and interviews she had read. January 2011 she goes to New York for the first time, she graduated from the "Life of a Yogi" TT RYT 500 and she brought Dharma yoga in Croatia. From the first encounter to Dharma center and meeting with Sri Dharma Mittra she knew she had come to the right address, since then she is surrendered to practicing and teaching Dharma yoga. What he found there was an invaluable gift of comprehensive knowledge, a wonderful practice that suits her, respect for the tradition of yoga and wonderful communities of full support, humility, and kindness. Since then, she regularly trained and attended various workshops with senior teachers of Sri Dharma around the world; ensuring that she frequently visits New York and London, in order to be greatly inspired. In 2015 Sandra completed TT 800 in New York with Sri Dharma Mittra who is her yoga guru.
Apart from conducting regular classes in her studio, Sandra leads the Teacher's School and various workshops in Croatia and neighbouring countries (yoga, pranayama, kriya, meditation, philosophy, vastu, sacred geometry, healing arts) where she serves others.
